Honor thy father and mother kjv2/9/2024 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.Ģ0 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?Ģ1 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.Ģ2 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.Ģ3 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.Ģ4 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.Ģ5 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?Ģ6 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.Ģ7 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee what shall we have therefore?Ģ8 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.Ģ9 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.ģ0 But many that are first shall be last and the last shall be first.6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.Ģ Honour thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise ģ That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.Ĥ And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.ĥ Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ Ħ Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart ħ With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:Ĩ Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.ĩ And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven neither is there respect of persons with him.ġ0 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.ġ1 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.ġ2 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.ġ3 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.ġ4 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness ġ5 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace ġ6 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.ġ7 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:ġ8 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints ġ9 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,Ģ0 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.Ģ1 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:Ģ2 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.Ģ3 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Ģ4 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.
